min-raised on paired flop - I shove trips turn

NL400 - he's 23/13 over 100+. Absolutely nothing notable.

I figure there was a good chance he would check most turns with almost all of his range (pocket pairs, based on limp/call and then and check/min on flop), and once the third 8 hits, his range becomes that much weaker.

What hands does he play like this that you expect to fold out?

Unless he specifically has 55, or is a megadonk trying to convince you he has 8x, the turn really hasn't changed a thing. Ergo, the flop min-C/R means he's going to go the distance with this one.

Pocket pairs under 8, and any bluff, also 55, although he would have to be pretty ballsy to make that turn bet with any of these.

Tell me, what does he play like this that is going to call all-in on the turn? I've represented a big pair perfectly here.

Apparently you haven't, and the guy probably isn't good enough to pay attention anyway. He's check/minraised you, a donk special, then led the turn for 2/3 pot on a card that changed little. If you're representing a big pair, someone better tell him.

If he had a PP 77 or worse, I'm not sure why you'd think he'd fold here, for the above reasons.

It's actually called a "full house."

edit: thats 3 of a kind, AND a pair

that's some clever stuff right there... are one of you able to come up with a range that he's going to call the shove with?

Any pair man. People don't like to fold boats. Have you heard of the zeebo theorem? (not trying to be rude or anything, just a genuine question)

No sir I haven't - we really think he's going to call with tiny pocket pairs here that he might limp/call pre-flop?

Yeah, I think he calls with those. I'm pretty sure that the zeebo theorem states that people don't fold boats.
