TURN ($892) [T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]][Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]]

I decided to play this 99 strong PF because I was in SB and didn't want to fold or be called. To my surprise 3 called and 4 players came to flop. They hadn't seen me making any moves yet. The flop hit, didn't help me but wasn't dangerous. When BB's smallish bet came I decided to set up for a big bluff on the turn into the big pot if the right card fell.. how does my line look here and what do you think of this move?

I think it sucks... I would just c/f this flop... and the turn is just super spew. Someone could easily have a set or a straight.

i think your plan itself isnt very good, but its the best card in the deck for you to make a move on, short of one of the 9s. personally id call you light bc im not sure AK c/cs this flop, and i dont see what other hands you're repping.

This is a bit of a meta play so deeper analysis would be appreciated. I didn't write out all my thinking in the post, it's up to you to look at it and see the level of thinking and if it works..

Yep and that's exactly why I made the play I did.. think on another level or two up please.

Q is actually not a good card for me to make a move on the way you're talking about, nor was I looking for a 9. Again I'm asking the board to think a couple of levels up..

Well, the thing is that you don't have to think especially deep in this hand imo. It's just that someone easily could have 2 pair+ here and I doubt they will fold it b/c of some levelling stuff.

Re: 99 setting up a big bluff push how does it look?

I know, that villains know that I know they both have a range of (AKo AKs AQs AQo AJs KQs QJs JTs T9s 88 99 TT JJ). One is in CO the other BB so the range varies a little. But they also know that I know had they had QQ KK AA they would've probably preferred to rr my rr PF and tried to resolve the hand right there and then. Therefore given what they know of what I know of their range, my turn shove here is really telling them that I know what they know of what I think of what they hold, AND that I know what they know of what I think of what they think of my hand, but I don't care, and I'm putting it all in right here on the turn.

I believe this folds out all hands except AK; even lower sets would have trouble continuing here and if they thought this deeply(and I was betting that CO would've thought this deeply) they'd even have trouble calling with a Q-set with 1 card to come know that I'm repping the absolute nuts right here and now.

The result is that after a long wait they both folded, and CO did in fact show his JJ as he folded.

Please, non-thinking players don't bother to reply if you can't read and can't think.
