Can someone educate me on anarchism?

Since there are so many ACs on twoplustwo, I would like to get a better sense of what it is. I.e.
Any good books you would recommend on the subject (hopefully something that takes reality into account)?
Is it just a more extreme form of libertarianism?
What form of anarchism do "typical" anarchist kids subscribe to? Like the kids who graffiti (A) signs and protest at free trade conventions?
What is the process people would go through to "own" land in an AC system (besides buying from someone who already owns it)?

how are you going to study the lack of something...

seriously, anarchism is the probably the only ideology that would work less in the real world than communism.

One of my favorite quotes from a teacher in high school:

[Discussing Anarchism]
Student: Anarchy rules!
Teacher: No, it doesn't.

Seriously, there are about 10 kagillion links to anarchy sources on this board. Asking for help here is the lazy-man's approach.

how would the teacher respond if the student said, "anarchism/full privatization is the most competent, moral, technologically efficient, and inevitable structure imaginable."?

If you know there are so many ACists here why didn't you just do a search?

Anyways, this is as good a place as any to start.

I think the point was that he said "rules", when Anarchy literally does not rule.

Nit alert: anarchism isn't a structure.

"Well, I wasn't taught that in school, so it must be false."
