50NL - Tough turn

UTG calls $0.50, CO calls $0.50, 2 folds, Hero raises to $3.50, UTG calls $3.00, CO calls $3.00

Flop: ($10.75) A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 Players)

Turn: ($27.75) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero bets $20.25, CO raises all-in to $45.05, Hero calls all-in for $20.00
Uncalled bet of $4.80 returned to CO

Villain is not a total fish. 42/12/1.3, good SD #s.

I had $40 going into the turn. He covered. His turn aggression is .73 - 30%, and he calls down cbets light - 32% fold to cbet.

I honestly had no idea what to do going into this turn.

As played, you have ~18 behind. I can't really fold in this spot getting four to one, but I can't call either. Foal?

It might be results oriented but check the turn next time.

I take the same line as you.

Just disconnect your ethernet cable, that's what villains w/ AK like to do to me when I hold AQ in this spot. Cheating bastards.

But seriously, the flush draw hitting on the turn might have me betting more like 1/2 pot and folding to a push. Is that too weak?

I doubt villain's smart enough to realize you can't have the flush (no real raise from the blind hand hits a flush on this board) so your bet when the flush hits should scare the [censored] out of anyone not having it -- which means he has a minimum of 2pr to raise you hear if he's a maniac. Unless he's a maniacal bluff-monkey or you think he has the hand-reading skills of Kreskin, I think we fold here.

I'd bet less on the turn, making b/f a bit easier. Any bet should look strong.

Why if his af is low, then bet/fold turn.

Re: 50NL - Tough turn

You see, I get the point of betting the turn, but my real issue is - I only have to be right 1 outa 4 times to break even once he pushes me all in. The pot at that point is like 87, and I have to call 20.

So I was like well, I would find it real hard to convince myself villain has me beat 4 outa 4 times here.

However, checking this turn is just so weak. I am giving basically any diamond a free card, as well as whatever else he got.

Its really hard to put you ahead once that turn card drops. You say villain isnt too bad, well he calls on the flop so we know he has an ace (or diamonds potentially), so youre looking at being ahead of like AJ, AT...A9? is he that bad?

This spot IMO is largely read dependant - you either stack off or you dont - and man I dunno but I hate my hand here. given that this dude is not likely to bluff this turn due to his low turn aggression, maybe check to him, and fold to a strong bet? Sure, you give him a shot at a diamond, but I think that lone diamonds are a pretty small part of his range and youre still a 4:1 favourite if he has a diamond as part of a worse hand.

I dont feel to good about putting in half a stack on this turn.
