Pair and draw $1/2
I have no history with this bvillain.
Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $1/$2 5 players Converter Stack sizes: UTG: $125.05 CO: $277.15 Button: $44.05 Hero: $323 BB: $200 Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG raises to $7, CO calls, Button folds, Hero calls, BB folds. Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($23, 3 players) Hero bets $14, UTG folds, CO raises to $34. What do you do? I bet with the idea of taking a b/3b line. Then I realized that a 3bet shove is a bit of an overbet. |
Re: Pair and draw $1/2
3betting is awkward, so just call. Your line is good if stacks were more shallow, but given that you're slightly deep I think I'd rather c/c the flop and just play from there. c/r works too, but you'll get looked up light by combo draws and pairs given the drawy nature of the board and the fact that you're OOP...yeah, I think I just like c/c.

Re: Pair and draw $1/2
I'll prefer a c/r, but if I bet we need to bet bigger so villains raise will be bigger. Now I just would call since it isn't preflopraiser who raises you. Don't think your FE is good enough in this spot to 3bet

Re: Pair and draw $1/2
I also agree that you just call the flop. What do you do on the turn if the deuce of clubs comes? I think I'd check-raise all-in, but it's hard to say without better knowledge of the villain. Would he bet again with KJ, QJ, T9, or 99? Or KQ even? Those are the hands I can think of that he might have that would fold to a check-raise.

Re: Pair and draw $1/2
I agree with everyone that you should just call.On the turn it really depends on what comes and how aggresive you are
