25NL - middle set sees scare card on the turn

Just sat down at the table. First hand, so no reads.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (7 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

saw flop|saw showdown

BB ($3.30)
UTG ($19.65)
MP1 ($22.60)
MP2 ($32.60)
Hero ($25)
Button ($25.10)
SB ($16.05)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero posts a blind of $0.25.
UTG raises to $0.75, 1 fold, MP2 raises to $1.25, Hero (poster) calls $1, 3 folds, UTG calls $0.50.

We have to assume UTG has some kind of hand if he comes in for a raise. For MP2 to three-bet narrows his range to JJ+, maybe AK. I call because MP2 has a nice stack. What does it say about UTG that he just smooth calls the three-bet? I figure he's got two big cards like AK or AQ, a medium pair like TT or JJ, or he's slowplaying AA or KK. But a good player with AA or KK would have re-reraised after my overcall to try to see the flop head's up, wouldn't he?

Flop: ($4.10) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)

This flop is very good for me, since it's unlikely to have hit either of my opponents. At this point I want to get as much of both my opponent's money in the pot as I can.

UTG bets $0.25, MP2 raises to $2, Hero calls $2, UTG calls $1.75.

Despite the raise, MP2 isn't betting much money. At some point I'm going to have to raise him if I want all the money to get in the middle.

Turn: ($10.10) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)

This is a scare card for me, since QQ is solidly in MP2's three-bet range. Suddenly I'm WA/WB.

UTG checks, MP2 bets $1, Hero calls $1, UTG calls $1.

Another weak bet from MP2, but now I don't know if I can afford to re-raise. But I'm not folding unless one of them pulls out a gun.

River: ($13.10) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players)
UTG checks, MP2 bets $1, Hero calls $1, UTG folds.

Final Pot: $15.10

Should I have raised the river?

raise flop raise turn raise river. Just for the love of god get some more money in there. The queen isn't a scare card for you, but it might be for him.

Raise flop, raise turn, raise river. That term "scare card" does not mean what you think it means.

Guys, I don't know why these horrible set on non-scary board hands have become so popular lately but everyone's getting really sick of them.

Please go back to posting about folding KK preflop or something. Aight?

On second thought, don't do that either.

Thank you.
