how does doing a chargeback affect your credit rating?

I bought an expensive out of print snake book for my dad for his birthday 2 months ago from a snake supplies store in Germany. However almost all of it was in Portuguese so I emailed them and they send me an email back aplogizing and told me to send it back for a full refund, which i did. I waited about a month and wrote back to them again to make sure they had received it.No response. A week went by and no response again so I emailed them a second time and waited another week. Finally a few days ago I write back one last time and havent heard [censored] back from them.

Well Ive had enough of this crap and Im going to call the credit card company to dispute the charges. Will this negatively impact my credit rating?

It will not impact your credit rating. The only way it could impact your credit rating is if they litigated the matter and obtained a judgment.
