Re: Flopped str8 flush! (line check)

your line was good, but let's face it, the hands pretty much played themselves (at least the two that went to showdown). the x factor was squeezing as much money from the guy min-betting every street (and also hoping that the river filled him up)

use converter, fold preflop, move to BBV.

nicely done other than limping in with K9s....meh, it's still early if that's your game.

Re: Flopped str8 flush! (line check)

Since i directed a poster to a book that was not published by 2+2...i'll atone by referencing a 2+2 publication here. In NLHE Theory and Practice there is a good discussion of slowplaying good hands and not slowplaying the nuts.

(p.273 Concept No. 36. "Be more apt to slowplay very good hands that aren't quite the nuts than the nuts itself.")

Believe it or not, this hand shows exactly why you shouldnt have been limping K9suited... if you'd flopped just the flsuh you would have lost all your chips to the guy with the nut flush.
