Book suggestions?
 

Hey guys,

I'm still relatively new to poker, and I pretty much understand a lot of the fundamental concepts, but the thing I think i need to work most on is putting my opponents on a hand. I keep finding it difficult to "put the pieces of the puzzle together" as I've often heard it called. I know the answer is probably "no", but are there, by chance, any good books out that either focus on this topic or have a solid section dedicated to this topic?

Not really ... PNL kinda talks about it, but is still a far cry from what you are after [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

The best two things I've come across is a lot of playing time and cardrunners.com. Think your way through the hands and always try to imagine yourself in the other players' seat. That's vague, I know, but this is a tough subject to learn via book because there's a certain "feel" to it. It's like painting, you kinda just have to do it and get used to what things look like on canvas.

PNL covers it, it's in ToP, and they're of course helpful, but CR is pretty good at showing some of what to look for in practice.

Experience is the greatest educator in this area.
I also suggest doing searches around the forum for discussion on said topic.
