amounts of buy-ins lost in small time? NLTRN

What was the biggest amount of buy-ins for HU SnGs you have ever lost in a day?

Because i have lost like 10 buy ins in about one and a half hour yesterday so i was down 200$ and i played well i think.
I didnt tilt i just got some suckouts.

Because i often hear people saying that their biggest ds was
20 buy-ins or sth. like that, thats not really much is it?

I think I played well yesterday and I dropped like $1500 at one point.

I play $22-$230.

so how many tables do you play?

And why is there such a big range between 22s and 230$, why do you play the 22s if you are rolled for the 230$s?

I'm pretty selective about who I play, so depending on where the fish go I follow them. The games fill before I can get in some times so I have a pretty wide selection.

wow i just read it, feel sorry for you man. The same [censored] happened to me yesterday in a HU tourney where my opponent had only 1 BB left.
He sucked out like 2317312371283 times on me so i lost this tournament.

But thats poker you know it.
Im running better today (still not good obv.) but im nearly up 10 buy-ins today so i feel better now.

Anyway, Variance (especially in HU games ) really sucks sometimes.

You can think positive about variance too. That's what I do. When I have a bad run, I remember a time when I ran good. When I have a downswing, I remember a time when I had a big upswing. When I have a bad beat, I remember a time when I sucked out (and don't tell me you never suckout, you rarely get your money in bad so you don't suckout a lot of times, but you do it occassionaly). Save those memories somewhere in your mind.

I LOVE variance. It is the beauty of poker. Otherwise it would be just boring.

Just some psychological advice about how to deal with variance. By starting to love it. We are gamblers, right?

I had a very swing month last month. I really felt like quitting poker because nothing seemed to be going my way. But then I realized that it all wasnt my fault. I was getting it in good a lot and the times I wasnt, I usually could have played the hand better. Take a day off. Subscribe to Cardrunners; get better. Sometimes it takes a bad day to really make to focus on your game, which can prove to be more profitable in the long run.

Play the best you can and ride it out. The results will be there in time.
