Ameristar St Louis Rant

Missouri has the gay $500 loss limit. Fine. The casinos charge for drinks and state this as one of the reasons for doing so. Fine again. If you're going to charge for a shot of liquor though then give me a goddamn shot of liquor. The well liquor comes out of the same drink dispensers the soda does for christ sake. It's piss with an alcohol content so at least pour a full shot you cheap [censored]. Apparently your goofy looking bartenders have never worked outside of your boat in a moat because they don't seem to understand that the industry standard for shots is 1.5 oz. The shots I'm always handed are maybe approaching 1 oz with a generous pour. Large sample size too ********. 1-2 times per week for 3 years and it's not poker if you're sober enough to make out the suits of your cards. Making me drive 25 minutes to play in a poker room with tables spread out onto the floor like an overcrowded elementary school full of trailers and then you have the nerve to not even give me 1.5 oz of the [censored] liquor you're greedy enough to charge and I'm dumb enough to pay? Your reign of terror is nearing an end Ameristar St. Charles. Yes sir it is. People will quickly see your $250 Aces Cracked bonus for what it is. Nothing but a siren's song to lure unsuspecting small stakes limited hold them donkeys into playing in your smokey rail'd poker room of doom. This john has no allegiance to you and will readily throw his money at the new whore when she comes to town. If Pinnacle decides they want to pull the same alcohol stunt as you are well then [censored] them too, but at least they're only 5 minutes away.

Well harrahs is only 7 minutes away, why not go there, there room is completely in its own area, and they get the show girls coming through there at night...the extra poker tables that spill out are for the turnys, and if they get a huge need for more tables for rings games ie:the inside tables are full. The 500$ loss limit is very easy to get around, but I am sure you already know this as you sound like a loser [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

I think the money they save by pouring short should be used to purchase paragraphs. Apparently, paragraphs are in short supply.

Easy Answer. Go to Harrah's. MUCH NICER and from the sound of it, you are coming from the downtown area, so Harrahs is actually (a little) closer. If you play stud or omaha, disregard this post.

That beats the censor? So simple, yet, sooooo clever.

Honestly, I never went to Ameristar after Harrah's opened a room.

Isn't it a Missouri law that they can't serve free alcohol??

I believe so, but the law doesn't say that they have to overcharge.

I'm so hoping the pinnacle places are good.

Yeah I don't drink so I didn't really know if it was overpriced or not.

I also agree with the others who say that Harrah's is much better especially for NL, I hear the other games are better at Ameristar.

Even though I don't drink I like the free alcohol at say Tunica, helps the games quite alot and not to mention its easier to get my friends to go somewhere that has free alcohol.

I hope the pinnacle "Lumiere" place is good also.

Does anyone think MO will change the loss limit law or the the free alcohol law?

Re: Ameristar St Louis Rant

The loss limit has been fought for years now. Missouri can't deny the tax revenues already generated, as well as what they COULD be with elimination of the outdated law. It's more a question of the religious right and the politicians who represent those groups finally deciding not to be the morality police to everything and everyone.
