tough flush situation

This seems to happen to me a lot and I'm not sure if i'm getting enough money from my wins.

Example hand

NL 200 6 handed

Hero is dealt Jd, 3d in BB.
Everyone folds, SB calls, Hero checks.

Flop Qd, 5d, 3c
SB checks, Hero bets $6, SB calls

Turn Ts
SB checks, Hero Bets $14, SB calls.

River 2d (hit my flush)
SB bets out $55 (over bet) Hero?

His hand looks like he hit his flush but I have a J high flush, is this always a good sized raise spot for me? Should I be afraid he made a bigger flush? Twice in the last 2 days i've just called big bets like this when i hit my flush and once my flush was bigger, and the other time his was. Just wondering.

Re: tough flush situation

I'd shove vs an unknown limping the SB.

How good/bad is SB? The better he is, the less inclined I would be to raise. If he's bad, then I'm definitely raising/calling shove.

I'd shove. He limped in the SB and I would hate to lose value from a lower flush.

this is very player dependent. but i like a shove against most players. you may even get looked up here everyonce in a while by a straight! and all the smaller flushes are calling.

aside from the super nitty, shoving is +EV.

this hand is tough? Seems a pretty easy shove
