Presto with position - I think I made only one good decision.

This hand has been bothering me for a few days now. Been thinking about it, and wonder if I did anything right.

Live 1/2 NL HE. Full table. Most of the players are loose and there to have fun. A couple of good (read observant and semi tight) players. I have 450 and Villain has about the same, maybe only 400.

Villain is to my right. He has not played many hands past the flop. I have not played many hands past the flop or the blinds.

Villain is UTG + 1. I am directly to his left.

Hero (that's me) is dealt 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. I limp for 2. Everyone limps for 2.

Flop comes J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. I have flopped a set. Woo hoo!

Checked to villain. He bets 40. I think just a bit. I want to raise to drive out the loose players behind me. I don't think I should push. So I make it 100.

[I believe my decision was good. But should I have just raised the minimum? I have been playing tight and think that the rest of the table knows that. They are loose but we all know each other more or less. Should I have pushed right then and there?]

It is folded around to Villain. No surprise.

Villain then thinks a bit and reraises to 220. So 120 more to me. He is able to bluff. But does not bluff just for the sake of bluffing. Another player (the dealer) later told me that Villain would not have bluffed me.

I stop and think/tank for quite a while. One of the loose players calls clock on me. Grrrr.

I call. Big, big mistake. Right? Either fold or push seems to be correct choices. I wasn't thinking very well here. I thought I might catch the case 5 (stupid, I know) or he might check on the turn.

Turn is K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

Villain pushes all-in. No surprise. I have him covered with a little extra. I have been very tight and patient all night.

I think some and realize I am beat. I fold. Loose player who called clock is shocked. Villain is quiet and does not utter a word and scoops the chips.

Villain has been mostly quiet (he usually is that way). And after another few orbits leaves. He is up a little.

Thoughts? Thanks in advance!

lol. how do u fold a set in 1/2 on that board. auto shove or fold. either u have him crushed or he has u crushed. but first did he really bet 40$ into a 20$ pot? But u can also look at it this way.. if u don't want to gamble and put all 400$ to cover him, u invested 2$ right? do u really want to put in 400$ more if youre unsure?

You would be better off folding 55 preflop if, when you flop a set with it on a rainbow board, you stick half your stack in and then fold.

The only hand that makes sence is J9 and 99. He wouldn't play QT like that or JJ. As played there is a half pot bet on the turn that makes you have to call. Im tierd so I hope it makes sence.

And I would have pushed the flop.

Big, big mistake. Right?

Yeah, shove here after he raises to $220.

Set over set 200BBs deep? Get yourself a beer. Otherwise, straight up profit.
