Ok...so why did you play it this way? Specifically: (1) why did you think you'd have an opportunity to c/r the flop; (b) if you DID get the opportunity to c/r the flop, why do you think it's a good idea to take it; iii. having c/r'd the flop, why did you then check the turn when a blank fell; and, finally, FOUR - having done all that, what's your reasoning behind calling two more bets?

Edit: before you get your panties in a bunch because I'm so mean (this is actually pretty mild for me, ask anybody), this is the way it works. Nobody can tell you the "right" way to play a hand, we can only tell you the way we would've played it. The best value you can get out of these forums when you're first starting out is to tell us what your thinking process was and let us critique that, rather than just saying, "How'd I play this?" or "What did I do wrong/right/etc?"

If you c/r the flop, you have to bet turn.

However, my usual line here is to just bet out. I would rather just win a small pot than make one bigger one, where we are unsure about being ahead or behind.

Why did you decided to check/call the turn and river after you check/raised the flop?

Based on this, I'd recommend you open fold more often.

I can confirm this . I also think bozlax advices generally are great and this is not an exception.

Check/raising is fine as long as most people bet when checked to at 1/2, you should fire the turn though as they'll peel any 2 out of spite.

Medic!! We've got wounded over here! Heck, I've got some collateral damage and I'm only reading it.

I lose money on these middle-pair hands as well. If we b/c on the flop, what then on the turn? If we check the turn, my experience is villain bets a fair amount.
