QFT ... why? is, you need to get paid off on hands like this, but it will only happen if villain has a hand, so play it like he has a good hand and wants to get yr money in! Lead flop for maybe 140-160, rep at least a pair or enthusiastic bluff. If called, wonderful, he has something! Now you can lead the turn, and with over 500 in the pot, 300 gives him a great opportunity to try to reraise you. If you c/r the turn, you may scare him off his eg pair of nines. If he calls, lead the river for at least half his stack if it's a scare card, more if a brick hits. This way you get paid off by good pairs 99-AA and anyone holding the case Q.

How about check raising the flop? As you raised pf he's unlikely to put you on a 8. Obv no need to protect your hand. This way you can get value from

- KJ,AK,AJ,AT bluffing (cr cause your unlikely to get them to fire a 2ndbarrel on the turn)
- AA,KK betting and calling your rr(more unlikely holdings with flat call pf)
- JJ betting and most likely calling rr
- 77,99,TT possibly betting and a loose villain calling your rr
- Qx,A8,88 will obv pay you off no matter what (most unlikely hands)

If he's in the hand after the flop cr, I'd bet 3/4 pot turn and shove river..

Opinions?
