Home Omaha Hi Tournament - Advice

Hi there.
I host a weekly 6max NL Holdem tournament that is pretty successful.

- Blinds start 5 / 10 and proceed from there [10/20; 15/30 etc].
- Chip count 1500
- Prize split 70 / 30 between 1st and 2nd

I have never tried to apply this structure to Omaha. I presume an Omaha tournament should be played Pot Limit?

Would the same strcuture work well for Omaha?

We just played a omaha hi PL tournament using the very same structure last night and it went fine. It took about 5 hours to complete using 30 min rounds and had 6 people with rebuys for the first hour, no antes. We had a lot of fun for it being our first omaha tournament.

Just out of curiosity who keeps track of the pot?

I guess if all your players know and understand PL it's not too much of a problem?

Pot limit new to us, but I think we all get the gist.
We will estimate generally, but make an accurate count if someone bets pot, or a bet looks too large.

Not a huge buyin so doesn't have to be absolutely accurate.

Also: does anyone have any strategic advice?
Starting hands / tight or loose play? / agression? / do the ordinary tight - loosen up on bubble principles apply?

I'm sorry, were you serious with those last few questions about structure?

And I think PL works well with Omaha

But the dealer or designated table captain should help/control to make things easier.

Keeping your chips in front of you, instead of in the pot, during each street makes things easier as well. DEFINATELY no pot-splashing in pot-limit, please

Thanks people.
Any comments on strategy for a single table PLO Hi tournament?
Do the same principles apply as in a NLH SNG? [loosening up on the bubble etc?].
I guess seeing a lot of hands for cheap is wise since no hand in Omaha Hi is a huge pre-flop favourite?
What kinds of hands are we getting aggro with late in the game?
