Betting on another 911

http://mparent7777-2.blogspot.com/20...n-4-weeks.html

To people who know stuff about finance, what do you make of this? I'm not trying to start a conspiracy theory debate just want to know if this is fraudulent reporting, a fake move to drive people to follow or something, I really don't know at all.

Well, let's revisit this thread on September 22nd and see the results.

As I've stated for the past 2-3 months, the stock market is not where I want the majority of my investing bankroll at this time.

why can't it just be someone liquidating long spx exposure b.c. say they want to shut down a fund? that imo is by far the most logical explanation, and its not even mentioned!

not to mention the retardation of making a hyper-public bet on a terrorist attack...good luck collecting if it actually happens

From skimming the comments I'm pretty sure 1% of that article is accurate.

This is an enormous and dangerous stock option activity. If it goes right, the guy makes about $2 Billion. If he's wrong, his out of pocket costs for buying these options will exceed $700 Million!!!

I'd say this was a pretty poor risk/reward strategy - unless he knows something others don't.

Then again, if it's hedge fund activity, you can't judge a trade in isolation. It could just be a large hedge position against something else.

The same thing did, however, happen before 911 and it was covered up by the US governement along with pretty much everything else.

I bet Fishhead is glad he's "currently out of stocks for the moment"

There's a lot of discussion on this play in other forums. It looks to be a set of spreads, so it's not any fund dumping their long.

If you think the US government has disclosed all you need to know about 911, then maybe you should be wearing the shiny hat.

Maybe they've disclosed all you want to know so you're happy enough.
