Hero Call Time? From FTP 55k

No real reads on villian. Notably, I dipped into timebank before checking behind flop and before calling turn. Also noteworthy is the fact that he instabet turn and river. Just kinda seeing what you guys make of this line/what you would do. The obvious answer is "fold," just checking to make sure that's the right one.

Can't seem to get an HH converter to work with FTP. Here is the HH:

Stacks:

Hero: 3,519
Villian: 5,565

Blinds: 60/120

Hero is UTG with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and raises to 330. Villian calls out of BB.

Flop (pot=720): Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

Villian checks, Hero checks.

Turn (pot=720): 6 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Villian bets 600, Hero calls.

River (pot=1920): K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Villian bets 1920, Hero ?

Basically I just don't think his line makes a lot of sense for any hand -- particularly the combination of his line and the timing of his bets. Am I crazy for thinking about calling here?

you're not crazy, but the thing is, some villains do this with every retard garbage bluff they run, but then they do it with like 6x and Qx and Kx too.

Not sure what to do on river...prob fold...just curious as to why u didn't bet this flop? Seems like a decent flop for your hand and not really the texture that you would check behind TP or an overpair with? FWIW i'm not generally a big C-bet guy either...

i dont think its a mandatory cbet here. i dont think cbetting is bad, but when i raise utg with my stack size and cbet this flop im really overrepresenting my hand. im not getting it in if checkraised and im not getting value from a lot of lesser hands check/calling me when my stack size is what it is.

you cbet because everyturn card scares you then, and you have no idea where you're at and guess call down everytime.

I like betting flop here and prob betting turn with thos drawy board.

i'd much rather check JJ than 88, though I don't think I'd check either very often.

Not trying to hijack this thread away from the original question...which is the river decision but...
Points taken about stack size and overrepping your hand, but i do think that when u raise this hand UTG and get one caller (out of the blinds) that a c-bet is in order. Obv if called by a middle position player then your reasoning applies. Even if you're not getting 'a lot' of value from worse hands, you limit the caller's options in terms of representing a lot of undesirable turn cards and you make post flop play a little bit easier IMO. I think if you're going to be this cautious on the flop, limping pre might be a better play.
