Raise more preflop, pot flop, after that its all read dependent really have any stats on your opponent? Your getting good odds to call river but if your opponent is smart and realises this, and knows his shove probably won't get you to fold, he's probably got a better hand than you hand.

dont fold after inducing the shove, that T shouldnt have changed anything

No stats. He seemed like a typical donkish shortstacker. Not particularly smart or anything.

What I wonder is - would he take this line with anything that I beat?

Just put him all in yourself on the river.
And raise more preflop.

T8, 66, A5, T9, 88, occasional slow played KK/QQ/JJ, 56, random 9's.

I know, why would he bet those hands that have showdown value? People do things that don't make sense, you checked to induce a bluff and you got it, now call.
