Best Vegas Casino For Wife.........

I've searched on here but didn't find anything that wasn't outdated. Or seemingly so.

My wife and I are going to plan a trip to Vegas in November along with another couple or two. My wife and I both play along with a couple of the other people going. None of us are "pros". We essentially play micro limits on-line and once in awhile go to our local casino to play in the small NL Tourneys along with 1/2 NL every once in awhile. We know your basics such as calculating pot odds (not that we do it all the time....lol), we know how to play position blah blah blah. Not complete noobs but not really good players either.

This is not about making money for us but rather entertainment. But, if we are going to go, which casino is a good one to stay in that would be in the "middle of the road" pricing? We want to stay in the casino in which we do most of our gambling. In the past we've stayed at the MGM and New York New York. Weren't poker players then though.

Anyway, I don't need/want the most expensive room on the strip but cost isn't the most important factor either. Just looking for a good hotel with a cardroom that we can have fun in win or lose.

Thanks so much!

That would be the Sahara. Their tournaments offer a lot of play for cheap, and you can play 2/4 limit and drink and not worry whether you're winning or losing. I haven't actually stayed in a room there, so I can't tell you when they were last renovated. Nice monorail access too.

Good luck!

Stay at Bellagio. If that's too expensive then Mirage. Both have good poker and good location.

What about Ballys right across from the Bellagio? Isn't there a skywalk going to the Bellagio?

What stinks about all this is every flight I'm finding has a HORRIBLE departure time. It's all at like 8 freaking am or worse. There is one that listed 2 am fligh. So, I get to pay for a room that I will not use? Or, I pay for a room and have to be at the airport by 6 am.

Bellagio will not have 1-2 NL. The Monte Carlo may be a solid place for you to stay and play and has a decent strip location.

Figured the wife could ride a mechanical bull and do a little shopping in the western emporium.

Mirage has 1/2 and is a decent hotel.
