SSII because SSI is mostly irrelevent today (for example in the limit Hold'em section the advice is for games with one small blind and no big blind).

However if you are truely a 'medium' or better player you can skip both.

Really eh, good to know, are they mostly about pots odds, drawing, pre-flop hands, sandwich effect and stuff?

SSII is basically a quick introduction (less than 100 pages - but generally good quality) to various games. Covers the basics but doesn't attrempt to go into any indepth stratigy.

Read Sklansky's Limit Hold'em For advanced players and Theory of Poker. Forget SSII
