Value betting in Giant pot--5/10 live

Live 5/10 game, 10 handed. This was my first hand at the table. I came in in the CO and posted blind.

Hero is CO with 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img],7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG folds, next five limp, Hero raises. Button cold calls both blinds and limpers call (18SB)

Flop: Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img],7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
3 checks, UTG+2 bets, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, MP3 folds Hero raises, button calls, SB folds, BB calls, UTG+1 re-raises, UTG+2 calls, all MP's call, hero caps, everyone calls (23 BB)

Turn: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG+1 bets, 3 call, hero raises, button calls, BB folds, everyone else calls. (35 BB)

River: 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Everyone checks to hero. Hero....???

I have two trains of thought here
-bet, because just about anything will call in this huge pot.
-check, because there are five hands out there and turn/river is just plain ugly.

What do yall think?

Instabet. What kind of club hands are playing this flop? No reason to think 54 is out there given the turn action. No reason to think QQ is out there either. I don't get why the turn and river are bad at all. Bet/call the river.

Bet.

The flush coming in runner runner is very different than if there was a two-flush on the flop.

1. Bet.
2. Get called by Q2s, 67, QJ, and a pair of eights. Probably in that order.
3. Profit.

if you think this is an "ugly" river you're in for a rude awakening playing live limit hold em.

First, this is a type of situation in which you can bet the river for value even if you don't think you will win 50% of the time. People will call and overcall with many weaker hands because the pot is huge, so you expect to put in less than 50% of the money even though you are prepared to pay off a raise.

Second, you shouldn't be as scared of a backdoor flush hitting as when someone could have had a flush draw on the flop. This is basic hand-reading.

Third, you should be ahead well over 80% of the time. I think failing to bet will cost you more than 1 BB on average. If someone had 54 for the straight, he made the nuts on the turn and didn't raise you with a vulnerable hand. Even passive live players will often find a raise with the nuts.

Is this still an instabet if two flush cards came on flop and third on river?
