any reads? i like the 3 bet pre-flop, but i think you can only do this with a good read, otherwise i'm folding this... i think the flop play is fine, but the raise on the turn is def too strong...you could've saved a bet and called down...

Online, vs an unknown, I don't raise the turn. If I am putting in 2 bets, I want to see a showdown. Yeah, you may not collect quite as much if he is donking some draw, but he will bet the river pretty often (in my experiece) after whiffing anyway. And, of course, calling keeps you from getting outplayed.

I may be wrong here. There is probably an argument for putting in more action here..and seeing a showdown. But with no read, I prefer a call call line.

As played, with no read at all....I call. I am not happy at all...but I call.

Villain seems to have taken an interesting line here, his c/r on the flop could be trying to push you off of a pocket pair that has not hit.

When he doesnt 3 bet the turn I am ruling out AK, A5 for villains two pair.

Him not 3 betting the turn then leading the 'scarey' river has me intrigued.

I am going to have to say he had A8, or a flush that just got there.

edited to add: the more I think, the more I suspect his flush draw got there.

this is something a moron would do - check raise a draw on a flop that hits the vast majority of the PFR's 3 betting hands when playing 5 handed.

OP, is villain an idiot?

yes, im quite sure MP was trying to get more money in on the flop as a dog. if thats the case, i must start playing 5-10 online more often.
