Help me with my downswing.

I am playing small stakes PLO8 Turbo sit n goes and after a good start with a ROI of 15.4% after 469 games at $6.50 stakes moved up to the $16.
All went well at first building up a nice bank roll .Then the dreaded down swing happens .I have only had one first in over 50 games and over a period of only 160 games hit a 45 buyin downswing.
I believe leeks have crept into my game and now i feel like i will never have another winning session again.Should i take a break drop down a level are just carry on .
Also after a bad beat i have started to go on tilt.
Any advice please before i give up on the game i just love to play.

45 buyins is a pretty big downswing (for SNGs). Obviously based on the general info you've given no one can offer specific advice; however, I will say that it is unlikely (but not impossible) that you would suffer that big a downswing if you had a significant edge on the game. So finding leaks or trying to tilt less would be things to look into.

Re: Help me with my downswing.

The best move I ever made after a 15 buyin downswing (cash games) was travel to non-internet locations and take a week off. I came back, played well for two sessions, flat for a week, then my game caught fire and is still great, and I am much more immune to the leaks and tilt that you mention. The last three days I am down 3 buyins but it would be horrendous if I didn't address those issues because I keep bloating pots with A23T sutied to the ace and getting lots of callers, then flopping three bricks and having to ditch hands... or getting bozos to call with straight draws on the turn to my NFD+NLD and hitting their gutter to my brick. Realizing you can't control these things and not letting it get to you are at times as important as good fundamental play itself.
