Just checking...(Blind battle)

Villain is a 27/19 TAG. Notes say that he'll fire 3 barrels w/ A high UI on the river after 3 betting pf. Im committed to showdown here unless a broadway card comes off, yes?

I hate this spot

yah I usually show down when the turn and river brick off but it feels dirty and I get valuetowned a lot

vs some guys you can find a fold on the turn or river, but this doesn't sounds like one of them

fwiw i don't consider it a blind battle when it's 3-handed. My range in the BB here is WAY different from my range here 6 handed.

Also, firing 3 streets as a "bluff" with a-hi is often pretty terrible. I'm probably gonna showdown for now vs. this guy.

I'd call the flop with bd str draw and your likely two overs vs this opp. Turn and River I'd probably call down with no face based on your read.

I'm curious as to why we're so eager to show down with A8 here? Are we assuming that if he can three barrel with A high he's going to do it with less? something like KQ or KT? Even if he's "bluffing" with A high we're still losing to everything but A2, A6, and A7. I fold to often on the turn, so I'm curious to what other peoples line of thinking is here

I start by c/c the flop.

Any 9, T, Q and K will prolly prevent me from SD'ing UI.

But I agree that against this guy you cant really call the turn without calling the river.

Why is your range in the bb different than when its 6 handed? The situation looks like its exactly the same, unless im missing something.

I think the hand/scenario just plays out a lot differently. A LP fish might raise a wide range in the SB 6 handed when it folds to him because he's gonna "steal the blinds". But 3 handed he's in every pot.

I just think 3 handed, in general, plays very differently from 6 handed.

It sucks because you're gonna get valuepwnd against this guy, alot of people check behind better aces on the river. Still I can't find a fold unless bad cards fall.
