Looks fine, I might make it a bit more on the flop so you could clarify your hand better.

If anything I'd have put him on a weak ace, and depending on the player either check-folded, or try to get him off it.

You didn't look "stupid" for checking the flop after cont. betting a midpair with an A high board and then checking out of position.

So, tell us about Donkey? 2:1 says he is 50+ and has a stubborn face.

I'd bet a little more preflop, as 600 is too little and invites BB to come along with the right odds. I don't know what the antes are, however. If none, 800 is better.

On the flop, bet a little more; as played, 800 sounds right, as it invites Donkey to make a bigger mistake.

On the turn, you definitely check, as A9+ isn't going anywhere. His check behind may mean he still has an ace or 1010 or something like that.

River, check behind is fine. If he bets, I prob. call.

Thanks for the replies. Villain was around 20 and knocked me out 30 mins later, where i called his all in with top pair and he was on a draw, he caught his flush and I was gone.
