QJ UTG

It's been a while since I've posted here...

5-handed 10/20 game on WSEX. Assume he's an unknown.

I open Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG. Folded to the BB who 3-bets me. I call

2 to the flop for 6.5 SB. T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. He bets, I call.

2 to the turn for 4.25 BB. A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. He bets, I raise, he 3-bets, I cap.

2 to the river for 12.25 BB. 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] He checks, I...?

New001,

Seems like an easy bet/fold to me. I expect to see a set/AK here the vast majority of the time.

That's what I figured. Thanks!

Against an unknown I raise the flop for a free card. I don't play wpex, so I'm not sure if the standard unknown is too aggro to do this there.

As played, I bet/fold.

well, the board isnt paired, its 4flushed, so theres like a 0% chance hes checkraising the non-nut flush. so his cr is either a bluff or the Qh

Jh still beats the bluffs though. I guess I'm not confused about that part, but why this hand should be treated the same as having the Jh.

Jh beats the bluffs but so does QJ. He aint turning 54hh into a bluff.

Here is my take. Not much value to be had in the river bet in my opinion. As no heart will fold so any medium pocket pair with a heart calls and beats you. Your hand has showdown value and very few hands that don't have a heart are going to pay you off in this situation. So that leaves the river bluff that you open up by betting. I just don't see you getting paid by hands that you beat nor do I see anyone folding a hand that you do beat, so I disagree with the above and check behind happy to take the pot.
