http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20187088?GT1=10252

I saw the leonid shower which was awesome. Im in Delray at the moment so I will be watching from the beach which should be close to ideal. They say it will peak around 2 am, I wont make it that late, so I hope 11 pm is still good.

I saw some of it before, gonna head out again at about 2am and see if it gets better.

It was worth seeing though.

Is it that hard to see if you are in the city?

Yes, just think how hard it is even to see stars.

Get a vantage that gives you a clear view of the east sky - unless you're stuck inside a major metropolis, you should still be able to see a streak or two every minute. Outside of major cities, expect 30-45 a minute at peaks, countryside 55-60.

Going to be taking some pictures this evening, if any show up well I'll link (if anyone's interested)... 10 minute exposures should make for some decent images if the meteors (and clouds) co-operate.
