Is 2.5xBB your usual raise from UTG?

Raise bigger PF, lead the flop (why give a flush- or straightdraw a free card?) and call any shove or shove any raise. With 31xBB, this hand played itself on that board.

The pre flop raise seems on the small side, and I dont love the check on the flop, but otherwise this is a standard loss with AA.

PF raise is fine, I don't like the flop check either, you were getting stack here no matter what. Except in some really strange spot, there's just no way you're going to get away from aces when you start the hand with a 30 BB stack.

I raise 2.5x BB when the blinds get big too. I don't mind the preflop raise.

Though I'd probably bet the flop here. Granted there's no way you're folding aces, so you're gonna lose this hand no matter what if villain flopped a set. But you should bet the flop.

PF raise is fine as long as you're raising that much with any hand you're opening UTG not just AA (I don't mind varying opening raise size based on position, but not based on hand obv).

Lead the flop (~2/3rds pot), play for stacks on that flop.

OP,

With these stacks, anyone who doesn't lose all their chips holding AA with that board is terrible. You got unlucky here. Suck it up, and next time lead the flop (as others have said).

Yes almost all of my raises are 2.4-3x never really over 3x unless BVB situatition........so this was definatly a standard open for me......once that flop hit I thought if I lead out he would fold his 2 overs or something like that.......so I gave him some rope so he could try to take the pot down on the flop. I usually c-bet this 100% but i just felt the c/r isnt too bad for this sit. Dont you think he would bet almost any PP here and any flush draw?? any opinions??

Yes this villan did play this way too incredibly good for me.
