World\'s Largest Fully Automated Poker Room

as per the subject. Depressing thought myself if this starts a trend

Will this place be 'the only game in town' or is there a traditional poker alternative? My point: They may be successful if there's no competition. Otherwise I've yet to come across more than a handful of players who would prefer the e-tables.

It's the only game in town. They can market it however they want, but I agree w/ Andy. Most people would rather play at a normal table.

It's only 10 minutes from Blue Chip and 30 minutes from Majestic Star and Resorts

A local card room I frequent is completely automated with these tables and I have to say its not bad. You see more hands and no dealer mistakes. The only complaint I have with them is that you have to use something hard to have the screen register a touch, but you get used to it.

Is this why players resist e-tables, homophobia?

In six short posts there's an overload of phunny chit.

And to hell with this place. These tables suck. Who is driving to get to the casino and sit down and play like this?

We played on one of these waiting to get in to watch the FT of the Borgata Open last year and it was fun for approximately two hands. If I'm sitting at a table I want real cards and real chips...if you think you can get a monkey or machine to replace a paid employee (I suggest starting at the top and working your way down).

Is the rake lower on these things or does the casino claim that the high capital or leasing costs requires them to keep the same rake?

I played on a fully automated table at winstar and thought it was great. Reduced rake, more hands per hour, no mistakes, and didn't have to tip the dealer.
