Dealers choice 1/2 blinds, NL

Last sunday played a bar tourney and busted early. There were a few people out and they wanted to start a cash game. I have only been playing this event a few weeks so I didn't know how the post tourney cash games would work so I gave it a go.

Buy in was 100, less or more after the first 100. Blinds were 1/2, dealers choice of NL HE, Omaha High and Pinapple(maybe its crazy pineapple: Toss after the flop).

Play was very loose with most players choosing Omaha or Pinapple, 8-10 players to the flop for 2 bucks. Very little preflop raising. HE was much tighter but not played very much.

Question is what game would you choose? Tips on how to play each game?

Play was very aggressive post flop and 50+ or more pots were the norm. There were probably about 12-15 different players that rotated into the game. We started 5 handed.

Thoughts?

Omaha and Pineapple are the logical choices because players don't play them as often and will play them like Hold'em. Play tight, you're probably nut camping this game if the action is as loose as you say.

I'd play pineapple w/ those conditions. Loose, passive play is nice to play against in that game. Try to see flops in position w/ hands that play to the nuts. Easy $$$'s.

Play the game that you are most comfortable. Also, omaha plays with less position, so if you are calling a game in the big blind, pick omaha as you will have less of a disadvantage.

I agree with the previous posters. Omaha is a good choice if you have a good solid foundation in that game. Play strong hands and get your money in good. That said, I would like to add that you have to expect big swings in this game. Two winning nights to one losing night would probably be the expectation IMHO. Obviously the key will be to control the losses and maximize the wins.

Best of luck.
