live 3/6 4-handed Khi the nuts right?

this is at Four Winds on one of those pokerpro tech tables

the game is breaking and is currently 4-handed

blind battle

villian (SB)
HERO (BB)

villian can be tricky

UTG, button fold
villian completes
HERO raises (KJo)
villian calls

flop 689
villian donks
HERO (?)

i havent seen him donk like this before

im torn between why he is donking

is he donking a cheap bluff hoping ill fold two big cards?
is he donking a pair for fear i may check back that flop?
is he donking a straight draw here?

ive been cb most flops and would expect a c/r from a pair
he didnt raise preflop so i dont put him on an ace and
assume if he has no pair my KJhi is still best

so do i have the nuts at this point?

if so how do i proceed?

until he makes a habit of donking every time, fold and let him have it.

dont you see any value in peeling a turn at least here?

something like...

peel flop, raise A Q turn, call K J turn and raise river, fold turn UI (or take to showdown UI on a non 457 turn)

you're giving these guys lots of credit for a 3/6 live game

callcallcallcallcallcallcallcallcallcallcall

You have position with 6 ok overcard outs and a bit of a backdoor. Combine that with the chance of a free river when he checks an A on the turn and this is a call.

BTW, its also nice to call, make a hand, see a SD and then make a note on what he donks with

Since this is live, I think his range is more weighted towards pair hands that he'll showdown. I usually peel here and hope to check it down UI, maybe that is a leak. Otherwise just fold.

I would just call flop and fold the turn. On the turn, any card between a ten and a King is good for your hand. When any of these cards turn, the SB may check, giving you a free card if you want it. Queens and Tens give you a straight draw and you can check those. Jacks and Kings give you a chance to raise if SB bets.

heres another hand i played against him
might help define the way villian plays more

currently 5handed

villian limps UTG
i raise next in with K8s

button folds, blinds fold, he calls

flop is T73
villian c/c's

turn an A
he donks
i raise
he folds

why raise a K or J turn if he may very well have air here?

Pairs occupy a decent part of his range, as do 7's. He is always calling a turn bet in this instance. If the turn is a King and you just call, the SB is not guaranteed to bet the river. He may check and fold his missed straight draw or ace high hand. If he has a pair, he will usually call your turn raise, especially if he's kinda loose. If villain has ace high and bets the turn and you just call, he won't always bluff the river and he also gets a cheap look at his 3 out hand.
