Obviously, his comment in the previous hand didn't affect how I would handle the situation in future hands, but perhaps I DID give too much action?

I haven't seen this name post in quite awhile.

I'm fine with the cap in both hands. The second being easier than the first.

I'm curious what others here think of Villian's river lead in the first hand if he is holding:

AA
KK
77/66
AK

Re: Too Much Action on Turn?

villain should c/r river if he has a very good hand in hand 1. I don't think that hero should ever be checking behind something that he capped on the turn. hero likely makes a crying call with everything if he gets checkraised but probably won't raise his 2pair hands.

vs some bad players b/3b gets more money in that spot though

Yea I think villain's river bet in hand 1 is alot worse than Hero's turn cap, which isn't even bad.

If you give him A7/A6/76s vs 77/66 on the turn you're a favorite, if he'll lead the river that's even more reason to cap the turn.

Re: Too Much Action on Turn?

I 3-bet the flop in both cases.

For some reason I tend to get most of my aggression out on the flop most of the time. Especially when I'm OOP, unlike these hands...

Someone explain to me if/why this is less +EV.

Thanks.

OOP, I'm going ba'nuts as well, but when Villain check-raises the flop OOP, he's gonna fire the turn 100% of the time, allowing me to raise and get some extra value.

Re: Too Much Action on Turn?

Yeah ok. I tend to wait to raise the turn when I am in position. I do mix it up in both cases though, depending on villain, board texture, etc. Obv you can't do it the same everytime.
