You said villian has donkey stats...he could have raised you with a wide range on the flop, especially at these levels. He would have probably done this with a Q.

As played stick it in on the turn and hope he had AQ

He bet $3.25 into a $9.50 pot on turn. That is usually a sign he has top pair on flop, but the higher card on scared him and he is throwing in a tester bet with that such low amount.

I am sure that if you raised turn, he would have folded. Or if you called turn, the river would have been checked to showdown. He probably had mid pockets, or something like QJ, Q9.

it seems to me donkeys raise min when they have sets and they raise more than min when they have pairs
