Why not just fold turn then?

Due to stack sizes, I might bet something like $110 and hope he gets frisky. Best way to get value from trips and better. If he has overpair, he's not calling a cr anyway, right?

If he has any doubts about his hand he's checking behind if you check. I definitely think a lead of say $100 is good. That way you may get a call or you may get the villain raising you.

Moral of the story: don't give a good thinking player the opportunity to check behind.

I like the 85-100 range to make it seem like you are repping 99/JJ/QQ or similar and trying to induce a raise from AA/KK, while still preventing him from checking behind (like others have already mentioned).
