All you need to execute the perfect pushup is the ground and some arms.

I have them and like them. Helps A LOT with really wide pushups that work the chest. I think there is some value to the turning thing as well. Doing 20 pushups like they instruct on Perfect Pushup is harder than 20 regular pushups against the ground.

Obviously not necessary, however.

Don't know what to think about the turning thing. I think handles can be helpful, but I wouldn't spend much money for them. When I do push-up variations, they tend to be with feet raised on a countertop or stairs, and that seems better to me than using handles.

i use my squared dumbells as push up bars, it's just b/c of wrist comfort, though I guess I can get a little more range as well.

The turn seems cool, but I don't feel like having another goofy fitness things lying around.

What about pushups on your knuckles for wrist comfort? Good? Bad?

I've tried these. They're actually pretty nice for a gimmicky-type product. So is the Doorway Gym.

My friend is on his way to kung fu mastery and does this more for toughening his hands. I'm not sure if there's any strength or comfort benefit.
