Foreign Currency CD\'s

What do you guys think of these?

I was doing a powerpoint presentation at my internship the other day and stumbled across this. USD has depreciated so much, and doesn't really seem like it's getting much better.

I am seriously considering opening something like this for 10-20k or whatever. So what is the general consensus here?

It's a long prospectus and didn't feel like reading it. Are they paying you a yield like a US bank would? If so how does it compare to a US bank? Second what are they using for the initial and final conversion? I know abroad you lose a point or two in just the buy and sell spread.

You should look into Foreign Currency ETFs as well if you haven't already.
