Playing overpair on turn
 

Im really new to 2+2 and I havnt posted anything before but I am very curious to how I played this KK. Herees the Link.

My question is How many of you would Raise the turn??? I seriously debated it during my thinking of this hand... Knowing full well that the player either had AA/QQ/JJ - If I raised obviously I could be beat, but is there Room to Isolate this? any suggestions would be great thanks.

not raising the turn w/ drawing opponent behind you in a big pot = burning money.

cap the flop or raise the turn

one of those 2 streets was way too passive

I am trying to be objective, although knowing the results I might have been more timid in the actual hand. I would call the flop and then raise the turn. By preflop/flop action you know the under the gun player has a big pair. I am guessing even that retard that won the hand would be able to lay down the inside straight draw when faced with two bets on the turn.

I would have raised the turn and bet the river for value.

Calling on that coordinated flop with a player behind is not good.

I don't know how much you can do here. The pot got so big preflop that folding with an overpair is not really an option. I don't think you should raise the turn unless you are prepaired to fold to a re-raise.

The A7 flopped an inside draw with ace overcard. Then he picked up a double gut draw on the turn. There is simply no losing him.

I have to disagree with you on four betting the flop. The person drawing has already called two flop bets after the first raise so you aren't going to lose him by capping. Facing the drawing hand with two bets on the turn is the only way to get him to drop I would figure is some kind of pair w/a straight draw. In this particular case the drawing hand had the odds to continue on the turn but you must make him pay the max and waiting to raise the turn is the way to do it.

He should be raising the turn for value and should call down a re-raise as QQ might very well 3 bet him there. Of course there is no losing some dude who calls there with A7, but that is being results oriented.
