Investment art/paintings

Do any of you see any artists out there that are good investments?

Living in Florida, I've been dabbling in collecting vintage Highwaymen paintings from the 60's.

In that case, perhaps Leroy Neiman fits that bill.

Purchased a Higwaymen painting by James Gibson last week..........$500.

Will be selling it at the local auction house in a couple weeks............will probably take a loss on it.........but keeping fingers crossed.

Gotta love gambling.

After recieving this painting in the mail on Tuesday, may just keep the damn thing for awhile because I like it so much.

This painting is going nowhere but up in value in the coming years for a variety of reasons, one being the artist is 70+ years old.

Sold it this evening for $2100...........more than pleased with the results, as profited a little over a dime after commissions.

Well, to many it can be and is.

Having said that, I certainly don't consider myself an investor of fine art..........more of a "gambler" as was previously stated.

Do have collectibles of all sorts however, and have profited from a wide variety of them over the years...........art, sports collectibles, antiques, etc., etc.

The main thing is to enjoy what one collects, uses, or accumulates............whether it goes up or down in price.
