NL600 - KK in deep water

Villain is nitty 17.1 / 12.2 / 2.88 but I've seen him open raise pocket pairs like 44. He has folded to a squeeze from me in the recent past. We're like 170bb deep here. I wanted him to check behind me on the turn for pot control with a hand like QQ or JJ so I could value bet a safe river. Do you get away here or are you sticking in your remaining $800?

There are very few Ts in his range, and he could be protecting/v-betting his JJ/QQ against your possible AK/lower PP.

Even with a really tight range we're not in too bad shape.

But one way to make sure he'll fold the hands you beat would be a CR. Lead turn or call and push any river.

I don't really think a nitty player will normally play JJ or QQ this way, although it's possible. His line seems more consistent with hands like AA, KK, TT or a full house.
