Re: Electronic poker coming to AC

My local has electronic roullette and its really popular - its also the only table game ive played there when killing time before a poker table opened.

Of course it isnt great on the staff - but its a new casino and had it from the get go (as far as im aware) so it had no effect on people who were working there.

Ive also played electronic poker on a PokerPro table in Newcastle (Aspers Casino). Loved it - was really fast and the two tables there were popular.

I dont get the hate jeff? From a customer point of view both are really good. If you were a (bad) croupier there it might be a bad thing though.

For note, the article says no AC casinos have yet applied to have the tables, though I assume the CCC's approval of the electronic games was borne out of interest by one or more operators there.

I played on the electronic poker tables in a SNG in florida, ehhh it was ok, i like the feel of real cards etc much better.

For roulette though this is awesome, unless i am mistaken they are probably getting rapid roulette. The beatuy of this is that it still uses a real roulette table, but each player has his own screen to place bets on. No need to have to dodge other peoples arms to place bets and allows up to something like 24 players on 1 real.

here is a link for more info on this if you want it:
Nice article on it and some pics at bottom:

I'd like to see a robot croupier instead.

I love the electroninc poker tables. More hands per hour, no dealer mistakes, no dealer tipping. In 10 years I hope all poker is played this way and there will be no more poker dealers.

Electronic games that mimic casino games are nothing new. You can find such games very easily in casinos around the world. Usually these electronic games look very low-class and and up attracting the lowest of degenerate gamblers. After a few years that equipment gets beat up and the whole joint looks like a dump.

My guess is, these electronic tables will become more and more common. But I am guessing they will be at the low limit games (for players that can't afford to tip) and the higher-stakes games will remain just the way they are.

Furthermore, electronic games are run by RNGs. That may be an irrelevant note, since all the slot machines have been that way for a long time, anyway. But it is still a fact.
