Live 5/10: QQ Reraised

Venetian 5/10 NL
My image is extremely tight/solid
Villain is also tight/solid
Effective stacks are 5k

I raise UTG to 40 with QhQs
2 Callers
Villain in bb reraises to 160
I call
Other 2 callers fold

Flop: ($400) 9d8d5h
Villain bets 250
I put his range at JJ+, possibly TT,AK
I should...?

If you think I should call here, what should my plan be when he bets the turn/river?

Thanks.

im usually calling here mixing it up with a raise maybe something like 25%

as for turn/river - come on that depends on your flop play, his action and what the cards are.

I call. Probably fold if he keeps firing turn depending on my read.

Ditto.

Also, I play in this game like every day. PM me if you want to say hello or whatever.

Edit: Haha wait I think I know who you are, lol, you know me.

How tricky is this opponent? Personally if the guy plays pretty straight forward (ie wont just raise you on the flop for the sake of it), I would bet out on the flop here for 2 reasons. There are a couple overcards that could hurt you on the turn. Also if he calls, you know he doesn't have AK and can put him on JJ/QQ/KK/AA. If you check/call, he may have just been bluffing so you still dont know where you are at.

Um, we have position. And leading this flop with QQ OOP is bad because when we're ahead we either get no value or get the pot stolen from us (see: Lee Childs).

Oops, I read the first post wrong. I think a call is in order and reevaluate on the turn with most likely a fold if he bets again.

And as far as my original post. I thought you were OOP and anytime I am OOP in a no limit game I want the hand over as soon as possible when I don't have a super strong hand. Your stack and the current pot is more important than getting value from a flop bet bluff.

[/ QUOTE ]That is EV-, especially in this spot where we are likely WA/WB.

OP call flop eval turn.

I agree that this is a WA/WB situation but a bet is going in almost no matter what on this flop. I'd rather be the one betting so I get better information. Checking when WA/WB for pot control is of more use when you have position and mostly beneficial on the turn.
