imo it was a bad ban, can whoever did this explain himself?

I did and our policy is in the sticky

"-POSTING SPOILERS: it pisses people off. If you know what is going to happen in a hit tv show (ex: Sopranos last episode, season finale of Lost, etc) or saw it and want to tell the whole world, keep it to yourself. If you are going to post it, warn people and post it in white text. Don't start threads about spoilers. "

The post was reported to me and I've gotten a lot of complaints about spoilers for shows like Lost in the past.

that's what i don't get. anyone who didn't want to view the spoilers needed only to not open the thread

comments?

i think it's a lot different to put spoilers in the title or to just ambush someone in a different post altogether with non-white text, but this is a clearly marked separate thread.. seems like it should be ok right?

Yeah, thats different. I thought he did something along the lines of XXXXXX has died in a random thread, like what happenned when the last book came out.

If I were you I'd sit in my house, wait for the book, read it, and avoid all other communication.

For anyone who thinks I'm being sarcastic, I'm not.

I honestly think Dynasty's quality of life for the next 5 days or so will be made best by making absolutely sure he won't be exposed to Harry Potter spoilers.

Dynasty - For $50 you can get a stock room guy at B&N to give you the book in advance. This way by the time you get to the end (probably less that 48 hours) you wont have to worry about all the spoilers that will float up on the net
