LOL, I saw a similar once (it said something like "just hit the damn ball" and for the distance it said "far").

i saw one of these one time and it was kind of coming off and was only like 230 from the pin. I hit the green with a 3 wood and ripped the thing off and put in bag.

guids, it's a sprinkler head.

I've seen things like this before and in general it annoys me. If I'm looking for a yardage I'm doing it for a reason. I want to see an actual number regardless of whether or not I can reach the green from where I am because I want to be able to plan where my next shot is. Even though I'm not reaching the green from either position, being 300 vs 350 yards does make a difference.
