Child rapists, evils, and the state
 

The state provides food and shelter and free legal services to convicted child rapists. They pay them (in the form of goods and services) 50K/year and that is not including legal services, that is just housing and professional protective services.

How long do child rapists spend in jail? 10 years? That would be $500,000 for the care and feeding and protection of child rapists. Ten child rapists, that's 5 million. One hundred child rapists, 50 million.

What happens if a child rapist has medical conditions that require treatment, the state, through forced taxation, pays for all of that too, right?

This is just one miniscule slice of evil that is happening right now under statism. Maybe we should be sending people like this flowers instead of paying 1 million dollars to care for and feed and house them

your example is of the 'good' the state does though you largely fabricate it. Providing care for prisoners is crucial for their purpose.

I think it would be better to make the rapist spend the duration of his sentence in forced labour with all proceeds going to the family of the victim.

Actually what I am interested in doing is developing a list of some of statism's other evils over and above this evil.

If a child rapist in jail is examined by a doctor who idicates open heart surgety should be performed on him should an additional 100K be stolen in order to provide him wiht this service as well?

What is the maximum $'s that should be given for the care and feeding of a child rapist in your opinion? How much should we give to him (after it is forcibly stolen from people) to pay for legal services should he be sentenced to death?
