Fold on flop ? turn ?

B2B 1/2 (6 handed)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises</font>, MP folds, CO folds, BU calls, SB calls, BB calls.

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets</font>, MP calls, <font color="#CC3333">SB raises</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB 3-bets</font>, Hero calls, MP folds, SB calls

Turn: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3 players)
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>, BB calls, Hero calls.

River: 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets</font>, BB calls, Hero calls.

Final Pot: many BB

Where is the fold ?
On the flop ? or the turn ?
I decided to cold-call 2 bets with top pair + gutshot; was it a mistake ?

On the turn, I was planning to fold if BB raised, but he never did, then I chose to calldown (hesitated to fold the river though)

Thx for your advice

Re: Fold on flop ? turn ?

guess we cant fold the flop huh getting 7:1 or 5.5:1 at worst if its capped... argghhh tough hand.

i guess i play it the same, quite a parlay tho sb has like 9x or JT (hes less likely to be weak here than if MP folded, if MP folded id feel a bit better or if the pot was unraised preflop) and bb has JT or QJ or something (hed probably play both of those this way perhaps tho or Jxs)?

the only thing not standard about this hand is that you didn't include pot size like the pretty converters do

River is really the only place you can fold, I think. But without a read, that's pretty tough to do getting what 14-15:1? so I call.

I don't play qjo utg in 6 max.

In this hand I try to showdown as cheaply as possible. With the top pair and srt8 draw you're going nowhere.

depends on what i have been raising and from where. if i've shown down something like K5ss then yeah i muck, if i haven't, i raise.

Meh, I play it the same. Also, I raise QJo utg with some regularity, though I probably wouldn't at 1/2 where something like A6o is likely to cold call in the HJ.

QJo, KTo, QTo, KJo, all losers UTG in tough 6max games.
