Its July 11th which means its 7-11 day and you can get free slurpees at your 7-11, went at 1 am drunk and was a great experience...

can anyone confirm this ?

I'd say that I can correctly answer the Final Jeopardy question about 80% of the time, but I missed this one:

The answer is: The first 24-hour 7-Eleven store opened in this city in 1963.

(None of the contestants got it right. Of course, Trebek spoke condescendingly when he pointed out the clues in the question.)

At the time, I knew the parent company was called Southland something-or-other, and decided to guess a Southern city. For some reason, I guessed "Dallas".

Now I check the Wiki page and discover that sure enough, the company got its start in Dallas (open from 7 AM to 11 PM, unprecedented long hours at the time), but the first 24-hour store was in Las Vegas.

I never hated Alex Trebek before then.</font>

My friends and I recently took a miniroad trip driving to 6 7-11s and having a slurpee at each one. My teeth hurt for a week afterwards.

At my local 7-11 there was a slurpee drinking contest. First you had to get a bean bag into a hole. I completed that as did 9 other people. I dominated the competition drinking my 24 oz slurpee in 39 seconds with no brain-freezes. I won a gift backet of Simpsons stuff such as hat, shirt, candy, 7-11 coupons, talking pen, talking keychain, talking bottle opener, and more worth about $75 it said. Also they are going to put my picture on the slurpee machine with the people who were dressed up in the simpsons costumes. Great day.

I took my brother to get a free slurpee today, it was slightly bigger than a shot glass. I had to actually buy him one because of how small it was. I did see this 16 year old chick smoke a curb and a city truck becuase she was on a cell phone. all in all, it was worth it.
