What denomination chips to get for home game
Picking up a 500-chip set of Nevada Jacks. Hoping to run a small home game of .5/1, maybe a few tournaments. How many chips of each denomination should I get.

Re: What denomination chips to get for home game
dude, do yourself a favor and get chips that have no denomination on them. that'll make it easier for you to change things up as your needs dictate. if you were using them for a tourney, would you really want 50 cent and $1 denominations?

Re: What denomination chips to get for home game
I'd do:
200 x 0.25 200 x 1.00 100 x 5.00 if you really really want $25 chips then do 80 x 5 and 20 x 25 |

[/ QUOTE ] Be very sure of your group's integrity before you use cash chips for tourneys.... even if the tourney denoms and cash game denoms are the same. However, if your tourneys are 1:1 for chip cost:chip value, then it doesn't matter. I would suggest that, if you're determined to use one set for both purposes, that you don't get denoms. Then you can have a lot more flexibility. |
