25NL Failed CBet, Double Barrel?

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.10/$0.25 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $31.65
Hero (BB): $25.00
UTG: $23.35
Villain (MP): $20.60
CO: $28.80
BTN: $38.05

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG folds, <font color="red">Villain raises to $0.75</font>, CO folds, BTN calls $0.75, SB folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $3.00</font>, Villain calls $2.25, BTN folds

Flop: ($6.85) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $4.50</font>, Villain calls $4.50

Turn: ($15.85) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero???</font>

No reads in the situation. I wonder whether or not Villain is on a small pair that folds to an all-in bet enough of the time to make firing a second barrel worthwhile.

I don't think that the second barrel is in order on this flop. The turn card didn't improve your hand or anything that the villain could put you on. I would be looking to c/f here against an unknown opponent.

I would never double barrel without knowing who I'm double barreling against. I'd just give up on the turn.

Villain raised preflop from MP, called a big reraise, and then paid off a significant flop bet. Your hand is dead. Even worse, you have no folding equity left. Check/fold the turn. If you get a river card, check/fold any card that doesn't actually improve your hand.

You're done -- reload and move on.
