We'll, I'm still at a toss-up between civil engineering and economics... but as far as languages go..

Japanese vs Spanish vs German?

Any of them = profit?

I'm assuming the answer is going to depends on what you finally decide to choose as your major. I think I would go with Japanese.

Probably Chinese has most profit right now. Japanese probably not so much as they do business in English. I think Spanish might be more helpful as more access to emerging economies.

If you're going into the government French wouldn't be bad. It was the international language before English.

has anyone who started learning a language in college ever learned it to an extent which they could speak and understand it well enough to make it profitable in their life? if so, plz tell me the story.
